What are bases?

Bases are naked base bodies for you to draw your own doll on. They are akin to more modern things such as “YCH” templates or F2U/P2U bases.

How to use bases?

Open your favorite art software and draw your doll atop the base. When you are finished you can post it online but don't forget to credit the original base maker!

Are bases free to use?

Pixel dolls existed before the monetization of the internet so they are generally free to use unless stated otherwise.

Can I edit a base?

The rules vary from basemaker to basemaker. Regarding the archived bases on this site if there's nothing written on it than it means we didn’t find any rules regarding the editing and you are free to do as you please.

How to give credit?

“base by artist_name”, with a link back to their site if available. Please remember that the bases here are NOT our creation, always credit the original artists!

Can I cut pieces of other peoples bases to make my own?

No, you either draw a base from scratch or use someone else's base entirely and credit them for it.
